About the Opportunity
Relationships Australia (Victoria) has an outstanding opportunity for a Centre Manager to join and lead their team in Shepparton.
The Shepparton RAV Centre is a small, rural centre, offering multiple programs such as Counselling, Family Dispute Resolution, Family Violence Relationship Education, Drought programs and Financial Management. This role will involve ensuring the smooth running of a practice which meets the needs of a range of clients, including an increasing number with diverse or complex issues.
The successful applicant will be responsible for the effective, efficient and professional operational management of the Centre, ensuring high quality professional counselling and dispute resolution services are delivered. Importantly, the Centre's development and operation should align with RAV's overall strategic direction.
Within this wide-ranging and pivotal role, some of your more specific responsibilities will include:
- Centre planning, reporting, and quality assurance processes;
- Budgetary management and financial reporting;
- Participating as a key stakeholder, contributing to organisational planning and development of initiatives and projects;
- Recruitment, performance management, professional development and motivation of staff;
- Establishing and monitoring accountability frameworks;
- Implementing communication and acknowledgement strategies; and
- Direct service delivery when required.
The successful candidate will have a tertiary qualifications in Psychology or Social Work, as well as experience or qualifications in Management. Postgraduate qualifications in a therapeutic modality are desirable, but not essential.
Your experience within the community sector will have provided you with a wide understanding of how a not-for-profit organisation works, with the ability to contribute to linking professional practice with business outcomes and client satisfaction.
You will have the leadership capacity to motivate and educate a team of professionals and there will be evidence of high level interpersonal communication, negotiation, problem solving and conflict management skills.
You will also have energy and enthusiasm for promoting quality management and the ability to develop sound working relationships with a range of other staff and organisations. Strong computer skills and a degree of flexibility will be highly advantageous.
The successful applicant must hold a current Driver's Licence and is required to undergo a police check and a Working With Children check.
