About the Opportunity

Due to expansion of services, GEO has an excellent opportunity for full-time and part-time Registered Nurses to join their team at the Arthur Gorrie Correctional Facility at Wacol in Brisbane.

A minimum of five years experience in general nursing is desirable. The organisation is also seeking nurses with mental health experience.

The successful candidates must be Registered Nurses with the Queensland Nursing Council and should demonstrate competence in clinical and problem-solving skills, as well as the ability to plan and coordinate increasingly complex patient care.

It is desirable, but not essential, that you hold, or are in the process of obtaining, relevant postgraduate qualifications.

Strong communication and organisational skills, and at least a basic level of computer literacy, are important.
